Grantors are able to discover new organizations to fund using new search and filtering tools, along with being able to view other grantors funding activity. Supported by funding tools, grantors can gather recommendations and comments from their membership and creating their funding plans. Distributions tools enable automation of disbursement and tracking of receipt through banking partners.
Grantees are able to create a single application that can be viewed by many potential grantors, reducing the amount of time they spend doing grant requests, and enabling them to spend more time fulfilling their organizational purpose. With automated disbursement, receiving notice of funding, and the funding itself, is more timely.
Co-ordinating hundreds of grantors and thousands of grantees, through dozens of grant cycles is supported by a set of administrative tools that provide easy on-boarding, efficient setup and management of grant cycles, and broad reporting capabilities.
Results: Over $100 million of funding has been funded through the project in its first 3 years. At the onset of the COVID pandemic, a major metropolitan area was able to onboard dozens of grantors and hundreds of organizations and distribute millions in funding to those organizations - all within 60 days - a timeframe not possible without the use of this platform.
Vision: Transform ad-hoc donating to multi-year funding plans.
Solution: Create a portal for donors in which they can do planning for their giving plans as a multi-year activity. For grantees, this improves their planning ability, and reduces fund raising time.
The portal provides donors with a curated set of organizations to fund, and enables each donor to specify a multi-year funding commitment for each organization. The donors are also able to see the total funding commitment for each organization to assist in their funding choices.
Results: over $50 million of funding commitments allocated across up to 5 years for each organization, allowing longer term goals to be set and more efficiency in service delivery.
